As a Customer Engagement Manager, you build and develop strategic customer relationships within complex ICT environments. You act as a trusted advisor and strategic sparring partner, helping customers navigate technological, organizational, and digital transformation challenges. Your focus is on creating sustainable long-term value by understanding customer objectives, identifying opportunities, and translating complex business challenges into impactful solutions. You proactively bring new perspectives and insights that help customers make better strategic decisions. By connecting business priorities, risk management, innovation, and technology, you contribute directly to the digital resilience and competitiveness of your customers. In addition to strengthening existing customer relationships, you actively identify, approach, and develop new customers throughout Wallonia. You combine business development with strategic account management, creating long-term partnerships rather than transactional customer relationships. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from technical specialists and department managers to executive leadership teams. Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Customer Development
    • Develop and strengthen long-term strategic customer relationships
    • Identify customer needs, challenges, and growth opportunities
    • Create sustainable customer value through strategic advisory conversations
    • Build trusted partnerships based on credibility, expertise, and business impact
    • Expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling and upselling initiatives
  • Business Development
    • Identify and approach new customers throughout Wallonia
    • Develop new business opportunities within Networking, Security, and Cybersecurity
    • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
    • Generate strategic conversations with decision-makers and key stakeholders
    • Convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships
  • Advisory & Solution Development
    • Advise customers on Networking, Security, and Cybersecurity strategies
    • Translate complex business and technology challenges into practical solutions
    • Facilitate discussions around digital transformation, risk management, and innovation
    • Collaborate with internal specialists to design customer-centric solutions
    • Present proposals and recommendations to senior decision-makers
  • Stakeholder Management & Orchestration
    • Coordinate customer engagements from initial contact to implementation
    • Align business, technology, and security stakeholders
    • Facilitate decision-making processes within complex customer environments
    • Act as the central point of contact throughout the customer journey
    • Ensure excellent collaboration between customers and internal expert teams
  • Market & Industry Engagement
    • Stay informed about developments in Networking, Security, and Cybersecurity
    • Identify emerging market opportunities and customer trends
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities
    • Share market intelligence and customer feedback internally

Functie eisen

Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent through experience
  • Experience in a commercial, advisory, or customer-facing ICT role
  • Strong affinity with Networking, Security, and/or Cybersecurity
  • Proven experience in both business development and relationship management
  • Experience managing stakeholders up to C-level
  • Strong business acumen combined with technological affinity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication, presentation, and advisory skills
  • Fluent in French; knowledge of Dutch and English is considered an asset
